Douglas Pharmaceuticals NPD Pilot Plant Facility

About the Project

This project included construction of a three-storey building comprising of labs, office, and warehouse space.

The new building was an extension to the Douglas Pharmaceuticals’ existing head office, labs, research and warehousing facilities, which remained operational throughout construction.
With the new build linking into the existing facility, close communication with the client was a regular occurrence to ensure our works did not impact their daily operations.

The predominant operational and logistical challenges to the project were during the early stages of the Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown in March 2020, which meant that no staff could be on site at this time. Leighs Construction’s Health and Safety plans were updated and constantly monitored throughout the project, following the Ministry of Health protocols to mitigate risk.
