Established in 1995, Leighs Construction has grown into a multi-million-dollar construction company.
Our breadth of knowledge and accumulated expertise enables us to deliver construction projects across a variety of sectors, both in New Zealand and globally.
BIM Technology
We see BIM as an important piece of work for project success. It will provide for collaborative coordination which is vital for a timely and well executed handover. Leighs Construction project teams and critical subcontractors are capable of using BIM technology to aid the construction process.
We bring extensive asset management and facilities maintenance management experience to all projects. This experience was utilised on our Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Building 4 project – with a heavy focus on building services items.
Genuine Commitment to Sustainability
Leighs is committed to conducting business in an environmentally responsible way that prevents pollution, protects property, and minimises any adverse impacts. We have strong experience managing projects with Green Star accreditations and actively support sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
We track and measure recycling and disposal volumes throughout our projects, recognising the important role we play in reducing carbon emissions. As a Toitū carbonreduce certified organisation, our carbon footprint is independently measured and managed to ensure continuous improvement.
Leighs has a proven track record of delivering environmentally conscious projects that align with these goals.
ECI Specialisation
Leighs understands the importance of working together to maximise the benefits of the ECI process to achieve successful outcomes for the client.
Our approach in delivering successful ECI projects is to bring together the most experienced team and impart their specialist advice on buildability, procurement, programming, cost planning and facility management throughout the various stages of the design. This provides our clients with the best value for money, and a whole of life approach to facility design.
Our team works collaboratively with the client and the design team through the ECI phases.
