SKHY Apartments is a repurposed building converted from the former Winstone Tower office block at the top of Khyber Pass in Newton, into a 12 storey, luxury apartment complex.

SKHY Apartments, Auckland

Situated within minutes of the CBD and the city-fringe suburbs, this 1970’s building is set on one of the highest vantage points in Auckland affording some of the harbour city’s best-protected views.

To transform the building into a high-end residential tower, it was first stripped of all services, finishes and façade. Lift services and two-storey plant rooms were demolished and removed by crane in sections, and the former retail and mall area was demolished to make way for a two-storey carpark, which is the base of SKHY 2.
