Independent directors Louise Marsden and John Bridgman have joined the Board of leading construction and equity company Leighs Group.

Marsden brings deep experience across more than 25 years in infrastructure finance, investment and capital markets. She has held governance roles across some of New Zealand’s most significant infrastructure projects and brings particular strength in capital planning, audit and risk, and complex commercial environments.

The several major New Zealand infrastructure projects she has governed include the Transmission Gully and Pūhoi to Warkworth Road PPPs and the Auckland South Corrections Facility.

Bridgman brings extensive experience in major project delivery, public infrastructure and capital investment. His career includes senior executive roles with Crown Infrastructure Delivery and AECOM, together with governance roles at City Rail Link, Kāinga Ora and Waikato Water.

Major infrastructure projects he has helped deliver include Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre.

The pair join existing directors Sinéad Hogan and Paul Duffy.

Chairman Anthony Leighs said Marsden and Bridgman bring exceptional experience across infrastructure, investment, governance and major project delivery.

“Their appointments strengthen the Board at an important point in Leighs’ development, particularly as we commence our fourth decade and take on both an equity and build role for the new Christchurch Mens’ Prison PPP. I am excited about the perspective, judgement and vision they will bring as we shape the Group’s next decade.”
