About the Project

The New World Stanmore Road site was secured by negotiation as a result of an ongoing relationship with Foodstuffs (South Island) Ltd.

The project comprised extensive alterations to an existing building, plus earthquake repairs.

All serviced departments, including butchery, delicatessen, bakery, produce and liquor, were upgraded and replaced. Ceilings throughout the supermarket were also replaced, and a complete upgrade of drains, storm water and sewerage was undertaken. Sections of the roof and skylights were replaced, and an external repaint carried out. Final siteworks involved a complete relevelling and space planning of the car park area and landscaping.
