The project team developed an excellent working relationship with the Hillmorton High School principal, and significant effort went into ensuring there was as little disruption to teaching schedules and classroom activity as possible.

Due to extreme winter weather conditions, the ground floor external walls were tented to keep the warmth in, so intumescent coatings could be applied to the structural steel. This solved the cold issue and kept the project to programme.
