Applications are now open for Leighs Construction’s 2025 Summer Internship Programme: a paid, practical opportunity for students and recent graduates to get hands-on experience in Quantity Surveying, Design Management, Construction Management, and Engineering.


The programme continues Leighs’ commitment to making construction a better place and to growing the next generation of industry professionals.

Interns spend their summer working on real projects alongside experienced teams, learning what it means to deliver with Pride, Passion, and Excellence.

Jess Massey, HR Manager, says the programme is a genuine opportunity for young people to explore their career options in a supportive environment.

“We want our interns to walk away with real insight into how the industry works, what they enjoy doing, and where their strengths lie. This is about investing in people and giving them the experience and exposure that helps shape their future.”

The 2025 programme will run for approximately 12 weeks over the summer, based in Christchurch, with applications closing on 3 September.
