About the Project
Christchurch Eye Surgery, is a day clinic located on Papanui Road, Merivale, and is a Leighs Construction design and build project.
The building is a fully-serviced surgical unit, consisting of two operating theatres, post-op rooms, clean and dirty utility rooms, a large pre-op area and staff and administration space.

As the project has been built in a residential area onTC3 land, the architectural design was carefully considered. An alternative method of constructing the building’s foundations was devised to reduce vibrations, and the design has created a building that resembles a stunning home, rather than a commercial building, and is in keeping with its surroundings.
