The Hub Hornby

About the Project

Work began in March 2013 on the first stage of this redevelopment project and was part of a three-stage regeneration project by Shopping Centre Investments Ltd.

The Hub Hornby is the only shopping centre to receive Enviro-Mark Gold accreditation for its environmental initiatives, focused on electrical energy, waste and resource minimisation.

The initial work included a 6,000m², two-level structure for Farmers Department Store, including a 40 space, second level car park accessed by a ramp. Next on the programme of works was relocating the road around the mall to provide the space requirement for the new Farmers Department Store and car park building. The final stages of works included demolition and integration of new retail spaces within the operating mall, with a new food court being a key component in these works.
