MainPower Offices

About the Project

In June 2014, MainPower relocated its Rangiora headquarters to a purpose-built facility, constructed by Leighs, at Southbrook Business Park.

This followed a three-year period post earthquakes, which saw MainPower operate from temporary accommodation, as it was discovered their previous premise was only 10% of code.

MainPower Offices

An IL4 rated building, with special, post-disaster functions, the head office for MainPower is designed and built to be robust enough to minimise operational disruption following a disaster. The site itself has 1in-500 year flood protection and an uninterruptible power supply and backup generator for improved control and contact centre capabilities.
